Daily Bible Verse
Grateful for His Promise of
Future Blessings!
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust
also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it
were not so, I would have told you.
I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go
and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take
you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
John 14:1-3 NIV

QUOTATION OF THE DAY
The only journey is the journey within.
-Rainer Maria Rilke
MEDITATION OF
THE DAY
INFINITE FREEDOM
They make delightful the forests where other people
could not dwell. Because they have not the burden of
desires, they have that joy which others find not.
The Dhammapada
COMPUTER TIP OF THE DAY
LogMeIn
What is it? Software that lets you remotely access your
PC from anywhere
Download size: Approx 8.82 MB
Download times: About 55 minutes on clunker dialups; a
minute or so on broadband connections
Works with: Windows XP and Windows Vista
Our freeware pick of the week this week lets you access
your home (or office) computer from anywhere. A
wonderful thing for those of you not tethered to a
boring, routine life like TC.
One of us is smitten with wanderlust and travels far and
wide in search of happiness. That would be EB. TC is
underpaid and cannot afford to indulge his wanderlust
save for a daily walk to the local carryout to buy his
beloved Plain Dealer newspaper. That might strike you as
odd - that a computer semi-geek would actually fold his
knuckles around a real newspaper, but he does.
Anywhale, on EB's wanderings there are times when even
the magnificent EB must do some smidgeon of work - as
improbable as that may seen. That's when EB fires up "LogMeIn"
whereby she can access her home computer from Singapore,
Sao Paulo, Rio, or even Auckland - depending of course
on where her wanderlust leads her. She's not only a
world traveler, but thrifty as well. Since LogMeIn is
free, she has more money to spend at the blackjack
tables in Monaco, and indulge her sweet tooth with a
large order of tiramisus in Venice. Though she wanders
far and wide and her PC at home is only a click away
with LogMeIn - our freeware pick this week.
Rather than yammer on about EB and her jet-setting, I'll
let the developers of LogMeIn tell you a bit about it,
and if you need to know more you can visit
http://www.logmein.com/ to get the full scoop.
Take it away, developer...
"With LogMeIn Free, LogMeIn, Inc. has opened
on-demand remote access to the entire world.
Using an SSL-secure gateway, LogMeIn Free provides
rapid, easy-to-set-up access to any PC. It works with
firewalls and routers, giving people the freedom to use
their work or home computer from anywhere. Remarkably,
it's free of charge!
-Multi-Layered Security 128- to 256-bit encryption
protects your passwords and data
-Remote Control Fully control the mouse and keyboard of
any remote PC from a web browser
-Multiple User Access Give multiple users such as
colleagues or friends secure access to your remote PC
-Open remote files
-Check e-mail
-Run programs
-Access from any browser
-Access from wireless PDA
-Easy-to-use interface..."
And there you have it. You can join the ranks of world
travelers like EB without loading down your laptop with
all kinds of unnecessary programs and clutter. A
browser's all you need to access your home PC from
anywhere in the world. Or if you're in your luxurious
office and feel like finishing that game of Civilization
while the boss is out, feel free - all you need is
LogMeIn.
There, we've done it again. We've saved you money and
found yet another software gem for you - that being, of
course, this week's
Freeware Pick Of The Week - LogMeIn. Want to
download it or learn more about it? We figured you
would, so here you go -

Joke of the Day
Customer service
representatives answer straightforward pet care and
nutrition questions, however some calls can be quite
unconventional as follows:
"My cat just came in from the garage and I was
wondering...how many calories are in a mouse?"
"I have a neutered male cat. How old should he be before
I can breed him?"
"What should I feed a borderline collie?"
"What size litter box do I need to keep my cat comfy?"
"Is it normal for a dog to shed?"
"How can I keep my cat from stealing my husband's
toothbrush?"
"My cat passed a stool on the indoor rug and it's stuck
in the vacuum cleaner. Any suggestions?"
"How can I get the secret recipe for your special dog
food?"
"How do I stop my cat from giving food to the dog?"
"Your food turned my dog into a stud. Now what do I do?"
"Do you know how to toilet train a cat?"
"I have three cats. Is it true that a special brand of
cat food makes the poop smell better?"
"Will chewing pop cans
remove enamel from my puppy's teeth?"
"Where can I get a six-toed cat?"
